Premnagar is located at a distance of 55 KM from district head quarters Ambikapur towards the west and 265 KM towards south from State capital Raipur . Premnagar Tehsil is bounded by Ramanujnagar Tehsil and Surajpur Tehsil towards North, Udaipur Tehsil and Lakhanpur Tehsil towards East . The nearby cities of the town are Ambikapur, Korba, Dipka, Chirmiri. It is at 210 m elevation (altitude). and coordinates at 23.22 °N and 82.84 °E.Climate of Premnagar
